More About This Site
I created this site in attempt to provide an all-in-one basic fitness reference for the layman, free of the obfuscation and paywalls that come up immediately when searching for information on the internet.
It is a work in progress, and I am doing my best to reference everything appropriately. When information presented is anecdotal and/or subjective, I will make it clear that is the case if it is not obvious.
Anything you read or watch here/on my social media accounts is not intended to be a substitute for individualized professional advice. Any individualized professional advice I give to anyone who hires my services will remain strictly within my professional scope of practice as a personal trainer.
As per the information on the Home page- this website is a personal project that is not directly connected to my professional practice.
I've been told I need to "dumb the content down to a fifth grade reading level", but I've decided not to do that, on account of I don't wanna.
More About Me And Why I'm Doing This
I'm a CSEP personal trainer and NASM corrective exercise specialist who cares about helping people to empower themselves and take control of their lives through fitness.
I'm sick of optimizing everything for marketing purposes, and I'm sick of the expectation that everything really important must be drip fed via overpriced subscriptions that are impossible to cancel.
This website is a passion project in defiance of this industry, because gosh darn it I went to college because I wanted to help people.
Some of the articles are ones I wrote for my professional site, in the forms they took before they were edited for search engine optimization. (Actually, at first that'll be most of them.) There'll eventually also be a good amount of stuff that isn't on my professional website.
I intend to maintain this site indefinitely, regardless of where my career takes me.
